Have You Tried WeReward Yet?

A friend of mine who recently joined the wonderful world of couponing told me about an app for her iPhone that earned her $20.00 in one month. It's called WeReward.
The way WeReward works is you have a list of places and products depending on your location that you take your picture according to their requirements and send it in to earn "points." I know we've seen apps like this before, but the thing that makes this one different is that each "point" is equal to 1 cent. So, if you get approved with a photo submission for 52 points, you actually are receiving $0.52. The money can be cashed out when you hit $10 and will be sent to your paypal account.
I have to admit, if I had just come across this app in the app store, I would have thought it was too good to be true and passed it by, but my friend Becca has proved that it is legit! I'm excited about it because I have already submitted enough pictures to make $7.21 and I only downloaded it last Friday! If I can keep up that kind of momentum with it, it could turn out to be fairly profitable :)

So, head over to WeReward now! The sooner the better! No time like the present to earn easy money :)

Weekly Target Freebies

Well, I had a very profitable trip to Target this evening :) I did buy other things, but I got these 5 things for cheaper than free :)
I purchased:
  • Nivea Touch of Sparkle Body Wash (price cut to $3.04, then used Target $1 off Nivea store coupon and $2 Nivea Body Wash manufacturer's coupon from All You Magazine) = $0.04
  • Nivea For Men Body Wash (price cut to $3.04, then used Target $1 off Nivea store coupon and $2 Nivea Body Wash manufacturer's coupon from All You Magazine) = $0.04
  • Secret Clinical Strength Travel Size ($2.49 in the travel section, then used $3 off any Secret CLinical coupon from P&G coupon mailer) = -$0.51
  • 2 Visine Advanced Relief Travel Size ($1.99 in travel section, then used 2 printable $1 off any Visine coupons) = -$0.02
So, I got these 5 items, plus $0.61 applied to the rest of my bill :) How great is that?!

My BzzAgent Kit Has Arrived!

It's Here! Man these companies are really excited to get their campaigns going :)

Here is what I got:
  • A full size Natureluxe foundation in flax
  • A full size Natureluxe gloss balm in hibiscus
  • 5 cards to give away with a $2 coupon off the foundation
  • A Covergirl Natureluxe BzzGuide
This is awesome! I knew I'd be trying the product and sharing my opinion, but I never thought I would get a full sized product for free! And as fate would have it, I just got to where I'm having to hold my MAC foundation upside down and shake it to get any out at all, so this is right on time for prime usage. Now I'll just have to try it out and I will absolutely post my results (hopefully with pictures)!

If you are interested in Covergirl or BzzAgent, feel free to have a look around their websites or ask me!

Fun In The Mail

So, over the last several months, I have been regularly requesting any and all freebies I catch wind of on the internet. The results have been 2 and a half pages of free items from full sized products to coupons to promotional items. The past two days have been no exception.

Yesterday I received:
  • A t-shirt from Timber Tech Decking that says, "If you think I'm irresistible, you should see my deck."
  • 4 Lactaid Fact Act Pills and a $1 off coupon
  • Fekkai glossing shampoo and conditioner samples

Today I received:
  • A Free Bic Lighter coupon
  • A sample sized Clinique High Impact Mascara

This has been one of my favorite perks to heavy couponing. Sure, there are days that I don't get anything fun at all, but there is always at least one day per week that I get a few samples. How do I accomplish this? Firstly, I subscribe to All You Magazine's Free Samples Every Day in my email. Everyday I get an email with a new sample I can request. Another way to find out free samples is by checking websites like Hip2Save, Couponing To Disney, and Who Said Nothing In Life Is Free. They post all the deals as they find them and free samples are put up super quick. I would recommend checking these throughout the day when you can to check up on the good deals (I know I do).

Mmmmm.... Cake....

Well, the hubby and I were itching for something sweet, and I decided to make my first ever Pineapple Upside-Down Cake.
I have to say it came through with flying colors! Yes, it was from a box mix, I cannot lie; but box mix or no, it was delicious just the same! And it was the kind of cake mix with the pudding mix added, so it was super creamy. Here was the recipe I used: Easy Pineapple Upside-Down Cake. Gotta love that Betty Crocker. I haven't had a pineapple upside-down cake in years and it was just as wonderful as I remember :)

Try one out for yourself, I'm sure you won't regret it.

14 Free Dr. Peppers!

So, I was in Publix today, doing my regular weekly coupon shop on their new sale items, when I came across a deal I didn't know about that turned out to be my best find. Until April 20, Publix has select Pepsi products on sale Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Normally, I wouldn't be too excited about that as they tend to do this same sale about once every 6 weeks; but this time, I had a leg up. About 2 months ago, I got a bunch of manufacturer's coupons on hang tags of Dr. Pepper for Buy 1 Get 1 Free on any flavor 2 liter of Dr. Pepper. Store B1G1 + Manufacturer B1G1 = Free Soda For Me! 14 free sodas to be exact. Usually I wouldn't cash in that many coupons on one trip (I quite literally cleared off the shelves or all Dr. Pepper 2 liters), but my coupons expire on 4/15/11 - that's tomorrow folks! Holy cow, did I luck out!

So, I came home and had to half apologize to my husband for buying more sodas than we could ever fit in our small pantry, but he will be thanking me for quite a while... each time he gets a cool glass of the perfect mix of 23 flavors. Because we all know... it tastes much better when it's free!

Just Got My Weight Watchers Party Pack!

I came home from taking my husband to his doctor's appointment to find a box at my door with this label:
I could hardly wait to get it open and see what was inside!
Here is what I found:

An Acrylic Serving Tray
An Acrylic Pitcher
A Cute Red Polka Dotted Apron
16 Strawberry Pens
Coupons For Free Weight Watchers Ice Cream
Coupons for $1 Off Weight Watchers Ice Cream
16 Blank Mood Boards
16 Mood Board Sticker Sheets

The apron is so cute! It's very Minnie Mouse, and I was very surprised about the platter and pitcher. I had no idea anything like that would be sent. I'm super excited to have my party now!

Today's CVS Trip

So, as you will come to find out, I am what I refer to as a "Crazy Coupon Lady," and there will be many many posts about how much money I've saved on particular trips. I know that I must annoy the tar out of my friends and family members bragging about my free stuff, so now I will use this blog as my outlet. Hey, it is my blog afterall :)

So, today I went to CVS with some awesome coupons. CVS posted a coupon on their Facebook page that you could request for a free Essence of Beauty product, up to $3.99. I went to the CVS by my house to pick up my freebie, only to find that all of the products were either much more (either $5.99 or $9.99) or much less ($2.37 or $2.57). I was a little bummed as I wanted to get the maximum value for my coupon, as any self respecting Crazy Coupon Lady would. The thought crossed my mind that the store near my house usually is a little bit higher priced than the one near where I work, so I decided to hold onto my coupon and use it later one, meaning today. Unfortunately, I encountered the same problem at the other store, so I just sucked it up and bought the highest price item that the coupon would cover, a Sun Blossom Moisturizing Bar for $2.57. **The nice surprise about this store coupon was that it took the maximum value off of my transaction, so even though my bar of soap was less that that, I got $3.99 off my whole transaction :)

So, back to the rest of my purchase. I bought two Gain Dish Detergents ($0.97), one Russell Stover Strawberry Cream Egg ($0.74), one Miracle Bubbles ($1.99), one Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips ($7.50), one Bioré Pore Unclogging Scrub ($7.50), and one Winter Limited Edition 8 Pack of Chap-Block (clearance - $1.25). So, I used my $3.99 coupon on the body bar, a $2.00 off any Bioré product printable coupon (Facebook offer - no longer available), two $1.00 off any Gain Dish Detergent coupons from the P&G $110 Savings Book (mail offer), a coupon from the newspaper for Buy Any Bioré Pore Strips and Get Any Bioré Cleanser Free, and $2.00 of CVS Extracare Bucks (ECB) from my last venture.

I paid $7.23 for all 8 items and then got ECB back with a total value of $7.73, giving me a profit of $0.50 for my shopping trip :)

The ECB came from the two day only sale on the Russell Stover egg ($0.74 ECB) and the Miracle Bubbles ($1.99 ECB). Also, this week only  - Spend $15 get $5 ECB when you buy Jergens, Bioré or Curel Skin Care Products.

Don't you just love being paid to take things from a store? I know I do :)
