Late Night Walmart Trip

On my way home from my friend Leigh's house (around midnight), I decided to swing into Walmart in hopes of having a quick and easy trip. I was both wrong and right about that.
  • White Cloud Toilet Paper 4 Pack, $2.00 - Used $1 off Any White Cloud Product coupon from May All You Magazine = $1.00
  • 2 Large Bottles of Heinz 57 Ketchup, $1.98 each - Used two printable coupons for $2 off any Heinz Ketchup = $0.04 Overage
  • 3 Black Flag Fly Paper, $0.98 each - Used three $1 off Any Black Flag Product coupons from the newspaper = $0.06 Overage
  • 5 Trial Size Packs of Cascade Complete Action Packs, $0.97 each - Used two $1 off Any Cascade coupons from the $110 P&G mailer, two $0.50 off Any Cascade from the $35 P&G mailer, and one $0.50 off Any Cascade coupon from the recent $30 P&G mailer = $ 1.35 for 5 packs (15 wash loads)
  • Finish Quantum 10 Count in Collectable Tin, $2.77 - Used $1.75 off Any Finish Quantum product printable coupon = $1.02
So, for everything pictured, I paid $3.46! Definitely not bad :) I have to admit, I only used those cascade coupons because they were going to expire on 4/30, but still not a bad deal :)

I will say though, I had to have a very involved argument with the check out lady. Finally the supervisor happened to meander by while I was holding up my print out of Walmart's coupon policy and pointing things out the the woman who refused to believe me. The supervisor of course said I was entirely right :) I was about 5 seconds away from just telling the cashier to give me my coupons back and I would leave without purchasing anything, so the supervisor wandered over just in time. Honestly, why does the store bother changing things on paper if they don't tell their employees about it in a way that they actually remember and apply it? Doesn't seem to make much sense and all it causes is a bad shopping experience. This all just adds to why I avoid shopping at Walmart.

CVS Trip :)

Well, I went back to CVS today to pick up some more free Honest Ade and I made out like a bandit.
I purchased:
  • 4 Honest Ade Drinks, on sale for $1 - Used 2 B1G1 printable coupon and two $1 off Any Honest Tea from RecycleBank.com = 4 For Free
  • Rimmel Glam Eyes Eyeshadow, clearance $1.07 - Used $1 off Rimmel Eye Shadow coupon from the newspaper = $0.07
  • Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Eye Shadow, $11.49 - Used $5 off Physician's Formula printable coupon = $6.49
Now, this doesn't seem like I did very good... yet. After all this then add my 25% Off Entire CVS Purchase coupon that printed on my receipt two days ago.
I Paid $1.02!
I didn't even have to use my extra care bucks from last week! Also, even though I only paid $1.02, I still got $1 ECB for my reusable bags and $3 ECBs for spending $10 on Physician's Formula.

I swear, sometimes I amaze even myself :)

A Quick Winn Dixie Trip

WhoSaidNothingInLifeIsFree.com posted this deal earlier and I decided to take advantage of it :)

While on my quick Winn Dixie trip today, I found these:

  • 2 coupons for $0.75 off Any Kashi Frozen EntrĂ©e
  • 2 coupons for $1.00 on Any Kashi Frozen Pizza
So, these will be great for some B1G1 sales :) And they don't expire to 6-13-11.
I found these coupons at the PSJ Winn Dixie, but be on the lookout for them in your area.

Scrubbing Bubbles posted a clue about when their next freebie is a few days ago on Facebook:

"Next week, we’ve got “27” reasons to eat your lunch quickly and keep an eye on our wall. Hint: one starts with F and ends with ‘reebies.’"
So, everyone is speculating that today will be the day and it will be "at lunch time," but we don't know what time zone they are doing this in. So, 'like' their Facebook page to stay updated to snag your freebie :)

Free Cell Phone Skin From Playtex

While in Publix, I saw that they had Playtex Gentle Glide on sale B1G1, so I picked up two. I didn't notice until I got home, but both of the packages were specially marked with peelie coupons with codes to redeem for a free cell phone skin! And it takes 2 codes to get one, so I lucked out :)
When I followed the instructions on the peelies to go to this website and put in my codes, it took me to skinit.com and I got a completely free skin of my choice for my phone :) They have lots of cool designs, and they don't even charge you for the shipping!
So when you pick up your B1G1 deal at Publix, make sure to get packages with these peelies!

So, as you can see, some of my deals were much better than others, but I am not one to skip out on something I want or need because it's not completely free. All in all though, this was one of my best trips so far :) I paid $26.26 and saved $92.69! How awesome is that?! Last time I got that kind of savings, I had to make sure everything was super duper on sale. This time, I was able to do it with somewhat normal shopping!

What made this trip even better was a nice couple who started talking to me when they saw my ridiculous binder I shop with. She was a coupon newbie and I was able to give her a few of my favorite blogs to look at to help her out. Then we checked out at the same time and she hung around to see what my total was. I had a witness who thought it was just as awesome as I did :) I have to say that makes this my best shopping trip ever!

My First Harvest of the Season!

I officially picked the first harvest of this year's garden tonight! They may only have been 3 cherry tomatoes, but they were delicious!

Publix Only Takes Competitor Coupons on Grocery Items

I fear I have lead you all astray. I tried out the Dove Deodorant deal I posted earlier at Publix today, and it didn't happen. The very polite check out boy appologized profusely and then told me that they only accept Walgreens coupons for grocery items, not health care. He said that it was something that their new store manager had implimented recently, so I decided to ask my sister's boyfriend who works in the customer service area. He said that what the boy said is true for all Publix stores in this area. They will gladly take competitor coupons on food/grocery items, but not "pharmacy" items.

I'm sorry if I caused anyone trouble at the checkout counter. I know it is never fun to be told you can't get a deal you were counting on.

But Wait! I have good news if you already printed out the $3 off Any 2 Dove products. I have heard reports that Walgreens has Dove bodywash on sale for $2.00, so with this coupon, you can get two for $0.50 each!
This is where I saw this info :)

    Do You Crowdtap?

Crowdtap is an online community of people who promote products to earn cash and free products while a portion of your earnings is matched and given to a charity of your choice! You can collect your earnings in the form of cash, gift cards, charity donations or free products. The more you do to earn points, the higher your level and the more likely you are to get free products.
Also, it looks like they are similar to houseparty.com in that you can apply to host parties to promote certain products and they will supply you with what you need! Right now, you can apply to host an Old Navy Spring Accessories Party in which you will become a member of the Old Navy Style Council and help provide feedback on new accessories.
If you get chosen, you will receive:
    • 5 Old Navy Tote Bags
    • 2 Spring Scarves
    • 1 Pair of Spring Shades
    • 1 Spring Fedora Hat
    • 1 Spring Saddle Bag
    • 1 Old Navy Spring Accessories Sampling Party Booklet
    • 1 Dry Erase Board
All this for free to be given out at your party! For all the details and rules and to apply, first Go Here to sign up for a Crowdtap account, then Go Here to apply for your party.

Be sure to post and let me know if you get chosen! And make sure I'm invited :)

    Correction To Free Deodorant Deal

If you were having trouble printing the coupon on Coupons.com, that's because they were all out of prints and just didn't have the heart to tell us :)

BUT... there is a direct link to the coupon that will still print right here. So, print one, then click your back button and "confirm your resubmission" (I click enter on my computer and it works) to print another.
This one is so worth it to print and pick up. Keep in mind, the coupon expires in just 4 days!

Fun In The Mail - Pt.1

Well, this week's fun in the mail started off with a BIG BANG!
     This is my Monday loot:
    • Full Size Mineral Talc Highlighter from Physician's Formula
    • Emergen-C sample pack with 4 different flavor packs and some stickers :)
    • Kirkland Household Surface Wipes - 2 Wipes
    • Sweet Leaf Stevia Sweetener - 2 packets plus purse packet holder
    • 2 Staples Rebate Checks ($3 and $9.98)
    • Cuisine at Home Magazine
    • Rouge Magazine
    • Woman's Day Magazine (from a free subscription offer - I get it for 1 year!)
I have no idea how I got the Cuisine at Home magazine. It says it's a trial issue but that I can send in a card and get it free for a year. I'm still looking into it to see if it's legit or too good to be true.

I was really surprised to get this so quickly. I saw this post on WhoSaidNothingInLifeIsFree.com (one of my favorite coupon blogs) about how she got this magazine with coupons for P&G products, so I requested my own. And it's Free!
This is my Rouge magazine I requested on 4-20 and it's already here :) Not only does it have beauty tips but it also has the following coupons:
    • $1/1 Natural Insticts Product
    • $1/1 Crest Rinse (458ml+)
    • $0.75/1 Crest 3-D White Toothpaste (4oz+)
    • $1/1 Covergirl Product
    • $1/1 Always Pads
    • $2 Any Venus Disposables
    • $0.75/1 Select Oral-B Toothbrushes
    • $1/1 Nice and Easy Product
    • $10/1 Crest 3-D White 2 Hour Strips
    • B1G1 Select Venus Razors
All of these coupons expire 06/30/2011. This magazine is put out quarterly, so if you would like to get a copy of your own, Go Here!

*I can't wait for Publix to put Venus Razors B1G1 :)

    CVS Trip

This week had some fantastic freebies from CVS, so I decided to go early this time (a.k.a. before Thursday) to make sure I could take advantage of some deals.
    Here's what I got:
    • Finesse Texture Building Shampoo, on sale for $2.50 - Used $1 off Any Finesse Product coupon from the May issue of All You Magazine = $1.50
    • 2 Dove Men+Care Deodorants, on sale for $0.99 each - Used two $1 off Any Dove Men+Care Deodorant coupons from the newspaper a few weeks ago and one of the same coupons that came with my sample I requested online = $0.03 Overage
    • 2 Honest Ade Drinks, on sale for $1 - Used B1G1 printable coupon and $1 off Any Honest Tea from RecycleBank.com = 2 For Free
    • Sour Gummi Bunnies, 50% off in after Easter clearance = $1.49
I only bought the gummis to cover my little bit of overage. I also had $1.98 ECBs from last week so I needed to make sure the total I needed to pay was over that. So, I paid $1.54, and there is a $2 mail in rebate on the Finesse shampoo, so by the time that comes in, I will have been paid $0.46 to take all that stuff :) And I will be going back for more Honest Ade tomorrow (they only had the 2 bottles when I went).

    Free Dove Deodorant at Publix!

So, there is a sweet coupon that will get you a freebie you can pick up at Publix this week.
Search through coupons.com and print out this coupon (you can print two). It says it is only good at Walgreens, but Publix takes any competitor coupon (which is why I love them so much). If your Publix considers Walgreens a competitor, you can use this to take advantage of their sale. Currently, Publix has Dove deodorant on sale Buy 1 Get 1 Free for $2.99, so with this coupon that = 2 For Free!

Just in case you don't know if Walgreens is a competitor in your area, believe me they are. My sister's boyfriend works customer service at a Publix near my house and he says that Publix defines a competitor as any other store who sells the same product within the county. And as we all know, there's a Walgreens on every other corner anymore, so I would say you have a better chance of them being a competitor than not. If you have any problems, just ask for a manager and tell them where the nearest Walgreens is. That's why I love publix. They are so so so concerned with their public service and they are always polite. I never have bad shopping experiences there, no matter who many coupons I use.

So, head over here for your coupons and go collect your free stuff! It's like printing money!

    Free Voskos Reusable Bag!

Voskos Greek Yogurt has a promotion going on Facebook right now. Just like them and then refer them to your friends. When 3 of your friends like Voskos too, you can submit to get a free reusable bag! So easy!
Click this link to get started! I've already requested mine!
