Late Night Walmart Trip

On my way home from my friend Leigh's house (around midnight), I decided to swing into Walmart in hopes of having a quick and easy trip. I was both wrong and right about that.
  • White Cloud Toilet Paper 4 Pack, $2.00 - Used $1 off Any White Cloud Product coupon from May All You Magazine = $1.00
  • 2 Large Bottles of Heinz 57 Ketchup, $1.98 each - Used two printable coupons for $2 off any Heinz Ketchup = $0.04 Overage
  • 3 Black Flag Fly Paper, $0.98 each - Used three $1 off Any Black Flag Product coupons from the newspaper = $0.06 Overage
  • 5 Trial Size Packs of Cascade Complete Action Packs, $0.97 each - Used two $1 off Any Cascade coupons from the $110 P&G mailer, two $0.50 off Any Cascade from the $35 P&G mailer, and one $0.50 off Any Cascade coupon from the recent $30 P&G mailer = $ 1.35 for 5 packs (15 wash loads)
  • Finish Quantum 10 Count in Collectable Tin, $2.77 - Used $1.75 off Any Finish Quantum product printable coupon = $1.02
So, for everything pictured, I paid $3.46! Definitely not bad :) I have to admit, I only used those cascade coupons because they were going to expire on 4/30, but still not a bad deal :)

I will say though, I had to have a very involved argument with the check out lady. Finally the supervisor happened to meander by while I was holding up my print out of Walmart's coupon policy and pointing things out the the woman who refused to believe me. The supervisor of course said I was entirely right :) I was about 5 seconds away from just telling the cashier to give me my coupons back and I would leave without purchasing anything, so the supervisor wandered over just in time. Honestly, why does the store bother changing things on paper if they don't tell their employees about it in a way that they actually remember and apply it? Doesn't seem to make much sense and all it causes is a bad shopping experience. This all just adds to why I avoid shopping at Walmart.
