Fantabulous Food! Frozen Fruit Salad

This one happens to be one of my husband's favorite snacks - even better it is incredibly easy to make. The recipe comes from the What's For Dinner line of cookbooks, a collection of recipes designed to be cooked and frozen all in one day (Cook 30 meals in One Day).

Ingredients:

  • 1 (4oz) box Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 (11oz) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 (16 oz) can fruit cocktail, drained
  • 3 bananas, sliced (not pictured)

1. Prepare pudding mix with milk as directed on the package.
2. Stir in whipped topping.
3. Stir in oranges, fruit cocktail and bananas.
4. Cool in fridge for 30 minutes and serve or cover & freeze.
5. Remove from freezer 1 hour before serving.
See, incredibly simple. My husband even likes to eat it when it's still mostly frozen, like a fruit slushie. This is a great side dish or snack you can make is you have a little spare time (it only takes about 10 minutes to make completely). Then, when you're in the mood, just pull it out of the freezer.
