Publix Trip

Sorry for not posting anything yesterday. I was baking all day for a family party that will be today. Of course, because I needed to get these things done on a time crunch, I went to make this particular type of icing only to find that it was imperative to use a name brand butter. This was a big conflict of interest for me - I never buy name brand butter! But I wanted to try this recipe, so I headed out to Publix. Of course, while I was there, I had to pick up some other things I had coupons for :)
  • 2 boxes of Fiber Plus Cereal, $4.19 B1G1 - Used two $0.70 off coupons from the newspaper = $1.39 each
  • 4 bags of Pretzel Crisps, $3.19 each - Used 2 B1G1 printable coupons = $1.59 each
  • 6 bottles of All Detergent, $5.99 B1G1 - Used six $1 off printable coupons and three $1 off 2 Publix coupons from You'll Melt For Summer Savings booklet = $1.49 each
  • 2 tubs of Coolwhip, $1.95 B1G1 - $0.97 each
  • 4 packs of Pepperidge Farm Chessmen Cookies, $3.45 each
  • 2 packs of Land O'Lakes Butter, $4.59 each - Used $0.50 off 2 coupons from newspaper = $4.36 each
  • 4 packs of Publix brand Neufchåtel Cream Cheese, $1.39 each
  • 6 boxes of Royal Instant Vanilla Pudding, $0.59 each
  • 1 pack of Publix brand Butter, $2.49
  • 2 cans of Magnolia Sweetened COndensed Milk, $1.39 each
  • 2 bars of Velveeta Spicy Buffalo, $3.85 B1G1 - Used two $1 off printable coupons = $0.92 each
  • 2 bottles of Sundown 500mg Vitamin C Tablets, $4.69 - Used two $1 off coupons from the newspaper and $6 off 2 Publix coupon from Green Flyer at the front of the store = $0.69 each
  • 14 bananas, $0.69 per lb
So, while some things were certainly not on sale, at least I was able to get Publix brand items for most of them.

Man this was painful. Look at the difference in the prices between Land O' Lakes and Publix brand!

Now, I have been searching for a particular Publix coupon booklet for over a week now. Everytime I go in the one in Port St. John, I search everywhere and I have never found it. But when I rounded the corner of the frozen food section in the Titusville store, I saw...
Eureka! It's amazing how finding this can make me so happy :)
This is the You'll Melt for Sweet Summer Savings coupon booklet :) And if you can find it, you should totally grab it. I mainly wanted it for the $1 off All Detergent coupon, which made my detergent only $1.49 a bottle.

My other big deal for this trip was definitely this:
I was given these coupons by a kind soul who has chosen to remain anonymous because they were high value and could lead to a great deal. Boy did they ever! It made my Vitamin C only $0.69 per bottle!

So, head over to the Knox McRae store in Publix to pick up the coupon book and get some great deals for yourself!
