Walmart Trip At Long Last

Well, I will admit - I have been trying to avoid going to Walmart for quite a while but there were just too many coupons for free items that were going to expire tonight so I bit the bullet and went. In spite of my usual unhappy, unfriendly, un-coupon-accepting cashier - seriously, how do I always get the exact same woman?! - I managed to pull in a big haul. Also, my overall total was high, but that's because I shopped with my husband and he got several items that were full price (what can you do?). So here is everything I managed to get:

• 4 boxes of Purina One Beyond Cat Food, $2.57 each - Used three $2 off coupons from the newspaper and one printable coupon (no longer available) = 57¢ each
• Febreze Petal & Pure Candle, clearance $4.00 - Used $2 off coupon from the 8/28 PG insert = $2.00
• 4 tubes of Bengay Vanishing Scent Cream, $4.23 each - used four $5 off Any Bengay printable coupons = 4 for Free + $3.08 overage
• Bengay Cold Therapy, $8.74 - Used $5 off Any Bengay printable coupon = $3.74
• 4 Oral B For Me Pulsar Manual Toothbrushes, clearance $1.00 - Used four $1 off coupons from 8/28 PG insert = 4 for Free
• 6 trial size Cascade ActionPacs 3 packs, 97¢ - Used size $1 off Any Cascade coupons from the 8/28 PG insert - I bought 4 and my husband bought 2 in separate transactions = 6 for Free + 18¢ overage
• 6 J+J First Aid To Go Kits, 97¢ in travel section - Used three $3 off 2 J+J Red Cross Products coupon from blinkie box (ex 8/31) = 6 for Free + $3.18 overage
• 6 packs of Reach Dental Floss, 88¢ each - Used two $3 off 3 Listerine or Reach Products coupons from the January newspaper = 6 for Free + 72¢ overage
• Dial Nutri Skin Replenishing Lotion (Extra Dry Skin), $1.97 - Used $1 off Any Dial Lotion printable coupon (Facebook offer - no longer available) = 97¢
• Olay Professional ProX Eye Restoration Complex, clearance $7.50 - Used $5 off Olay ProX coupon from 7/31 PG insert (ex 8/31) = $2.50 - regular price was $23.86!
• 2 tubes of Colgate Max White with Mini Bright Strips Toothpaste, clearance $.00 - Used two 50¢ off coupons from the 8/28 newspaper = 50¢ each
• 8 Renuzit Super Odor Neutralizer Scented Cones, 94¢ each - Used eight $1 off printable coupons = 8 for Free + 48¢ overage
• 2 bottles (3oz size) of 3-In-One Oil, $2.24 - Used $1 off Any 3-In-One Oil printable coupons = $1.24 each - Each of these were purchased in a separate transaction. Also, I am submitting two of this mail in rebate (one for me, one for my dad) and will get a full refund on each, so it's a $1 moneymaker!
• 3 Scotch Brite Botanical Disinfecting Wipes, $1.62 each - Used three 50¢ off coupons from the 7/31 newspaper (ex 8/31) = $1.12 each - These were purchased on a separate transaction so I could submit for the Buy 3 Get Paid Back For 1 mail in rebate, also found in the 7/31 newspaper. Today was the last day to purchase items for this rebate, but I will get $1.62 back in the mail.
• Sain Care In Shower Moisturizer, clearance $1.50
• 4 pack of medium Dingo Bones, $8.00
• 2 pack of Cranberry Fruit Pills, $7.88
• Popcorn Indiana Kettlecorn, $2.50
• Wipe & Clear Spray, $2.52
• 4 pack of Muscule Milk Protein Shakes, $6.47
• 2 pack of Elmer's Glue Sticks, 40¢
• 2 packs of Breath Savers Mints, $1.94 each

So,  for everything you see, my pre-coupon total would have been $125.74, but I only paid $47.24! And that's not even counting the pre-clearanced price savings I got on the toothbrushes and Olay and such. When you take into account that my husband's stuff was $34.73, that means if I had only stuck to my clearance and coupon items my total would have been $12.51! Wahoo! That's pretty awesome for that much stuff, I must say. Oh, wait! We can also add back the mail in rebates I will receive and that puts my total down to $6.41! Man, that's pretty impressive - that's a savings of 93% and at Walmart of all places :)

**Just to let you know, I searched the store over for several other items that I had posted about on the blog because others were finding the items to get them free. These are the items that the Titusville Walmart does not carry:

• ThermaCare 2 packs
• Advil Purse Bottle
• Travel Size Colgate Sensiive Pro-Relief Toothpaste
• Ambi Skincare Products
• Travel Size Clean & Clear Body Wash.

I may swing by a different Walmart tomorrow to check on these items, but the Titusville definitely doesn't have them right now - there weren't even empty spaces where they might have been. I'll let you know if I find them elsewhere.
