Target and Walmart Trips

I ran into Target last night just to grab this quickly before we went to dinner :)
  • The Lion King Blu-Ray DVD Combo Pack, $22.99 - Used $5 off printable coupon from Disney Movie Rewards = $17.99
I didn't have much time last night (we went to Carrabba's afterward!). So I had to get the rest of my deals tonight. Here is what I got:
  • 4 packs of Crave Cat Treats, $1.59 each - Used 4 free coupons from the newspaper = 4 for Free
  • Bottle of Downy, clearance $4.16 - Used 50¢ off Target coupon from the newspaper and 50¢ off coupon from PG insert = $3.16
  • Advil Liqui-Gels 20 ct, $3.99 - Used Free coupon from newspaper offer = Free
  • 2qt Calphalon Saucepan, clearance (repackage) $19.61
  • 4 packs of Whisker Lickins Cat Treats, 99¢ each - Used four $1 off Target printable coupons = 4 for Free + 4¢ overage
  • Mead Composition Book, clearance 25¢
  • 2 Monopoly Card Games, $5.24 - Used two $4 off printable coupons = $1.24 each
  • Scrabble Slam Card Game, $5.24 - Used $4 off printable coupon = $1.24
  • Sorry Revenge Card Game, $5.24 - Used $4 off printable coupon = $1.24
  • 8 packs of Extra Gum, 99¢ each - Used four $1 off 2 coupons from the newspaper and four $1 off 2 Target printable coupons = 8 for Free + 8¢ overage
    • 3 sets of XL Twin Cotton Sheets, clearance $4.48 each
    • XL Twin Jersey Sheet Set, clearance $6.24
    • 2 sets of XL Twin Cotton Patterned Duvet, clearance $6.24 each
I was super excited to find the pan. It is normally priced at $39.99 each and it was in perfect condition. Also, those sheet sets were all 75% each. It may seem strange to get so many sheet sets, especially when I don't have a twin sized bed; but I don't see these as sheets. I see them as fabric. An XL Twin sheet set contains the equivalent of over 5 yards if you were to buy the same amount in a fabric store. I look forward to the clearance of the college sheets at Target every year for this reason :) I'm already envisioning things I can make with all that fabric...

Then onto Walmart. These items were split into 3 separate transactions so I could submit for all the rebates:
    • Woolite Oxy Deep Carpet Spray, $3.78 - Used $1 off coupon from the newspaper and I will submit for this mail in rebate = Free + $1 money maker
    • Bissell Stomp n Go Carpet Cleaner, $4.98 - Used $1 off printable coupon and I will submit for this mail in rebate = Free + $1 money maker
    • Senokot S 10 ct, $5.84 - Used $3 off printable coupon and I will submit for this mail in rebate = Free + $3 money maker
    • 2 boxes of Summer's Eve Wipes, $1.62 - Used two 75¢ off printable coupons = 87¢ each
    • 2 packs of Energizer Batteries 8 ct, $5.97 each - Used two $3 off printable coupons = $2.97 each
I actually went by Walmart to try and get the Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaner for free with my coupons. I have checked 3 times this week and they haven't had a single one any time I went. I'm actually contemplating a letter to corporate to ask if it was all just a ploy to get us in their stores.

All in all, it was a busy, rainy night. But I certainly have a lot to show for it :)
