I've been moving right along with my basic cardigan I'm making with the My First Sweater class on Craftsy. I'm absolutely determined to finish this thing while it's still cold and I can wear it, thus my house is a mess, lol. I've forsaken my other duties in the name of knitting, and I do feel really bad about it, but once I start I just feel compelled to finish the section or piece I'm working on before I stop. So now I have not only the back finished, but the two front pieces as well!
I finished my left front during Downton Abbey on Sunday and I finished the right front last night. I had a little time before needing to sleep last night, so I also started my first sleeve:
I have the cuff done and the first increase section :)
I'm so excited to get this done and I can't wait to wear it! It is definitely coming out a little big, which works great for me on this particular type of cardigan. I'm going to wear it more as an outerwear jacket type piece so I made sure to select the size large to have some positive ease. Now that I can hold up the finished pieces to my body, this baby goes down to about mid-butt-cheek length, so I'm thinking it will be kind of like a "boyfriend" style when its done.
This baby has consumed all my knitting time this week, but if you want to see more lovely things others are making just head over to Tami's Amis' blog!
You go girl! Keep that enthusiasm going and you'll have a finished sweater in no time.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much :) I am definitely determined, lol. Here's hoping!
