New Free Craftsy Class: 2014 Block of the Month!

Craftsy has done it again and made another great class freebie - it's the new quilting Block of the Month class for 2014! I love these classes because they are designed to teach you new quilting block techniques. You can just make one or two that you like, or you can follow the whole class and end up with a full quilt by the end of the year.

New Craftsy Free Classes: Photography and Quilting!

Craftsy has released 2 new Free classes over the last few weeks! One of them is just in time to make great Christmas cards this year: Professional Family Portraits! I wanted to hurry up and share so that you could take advantage in time to get some cute shots for your cards :)

They also released this class called Piece, Patch, Quilt: Basic Quiltmaking Skills. This one looks like it would be a great introduction to quilting if you've ever wanted to give it a try but don't know where to start. And it's free!

Craftsy.com: Free Block of the Month Quilting Class

Craftsy.com is a really neat site that is free to join. It is full of online classes for various projects. Each class has very in depth videos to really show you how the craft is done. Most of the classes do cost money, but they have started a Block of the Month Club this year that is completely free! Each month for 10 months, they will post a new block for the quilt, and then the last 2 months of the year will teach you how to finish off your quilt!

I thought this would be a fun idea, so I'm going to give it a try this month. Maybe even I can finish a quilt if I only have to do one block per month :)
